Online Archive

Recordings of interviews conducted by the Project will be transcribed and archived in Mallaig Heritage Centre archive where they will be available to the public. They will be used to produce a book and a DVD which will document and make available the material collected in the project.

The amount of material recorded by the Project is expected to amount to well over 100 hours, so it will be possible to make only a relatively small amount available online. This page provides links to extracts from interviews made by the Project which can be viewed online.

Regrettably blip.tv decided in November 2013 that the Oral History Project content no longer fitted in with their business strategy and removed it all. We are now transferring the video extracts which were hosted by them to Vimeo along with some additional ones.

A list of oral history interviews collected by the Oral History Project and held in the Mallaig Heritage Centre archive can be found in the catalogue on the Mallaig Heritage Centre website.
