Between June and September steam trains run between Fort William and Mallaig in addition to the regular diesel trains.
Scottish Citylink Coach Services provide coach services from Glasgow to Fort William with connections to Mallaig.
Ferry Services:
Calmac provides ferry services all year round between Mallaig and the Small Isles (Muck, Eigg, Rum & Canna) and between Mallaig and Armadale.
Bruce Watt sails from Mallaig to Inverie and Tarbet (Loch Nevis) all year round and also operates excursions to Eigg and Loch Scavaig (Skye) in summer
Arisaig Marine sail from Arisaig to Muck, Eigg and Rum in summer, giving time ashore and an opportunity to observe porpoises, whales and hosts of seabirds.
The Brightwater Experience offers spectacular long or short cruises from Mallaig in a new 9.5 m RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat). Visit otherwise inaccessible parts of the coastline or take the shorter, 1 hour Sealife or Sunset cruises.
